There will be a bucket collection in aid of the Syrian refugees at the Louth derby match between Dundalk FC and Drogheda Utd at Oriel Park on Friday.
Senator Mary Moran, who is organising the collection, is urging all supporters to give generously to support this worthy cause.
She said: “We have all seen the horrific images and read the dreadful accounts of the situation for the refugees. As usual Dundalk FC have shown their support to those in need and I would like to thank Dundalk FC for agreeing to the collection at the ground. Collectors will be placed at entrance to the ground and all support is most welcome.”
